Octopus and Chickpea Salad

Add this delicious salad to your table at your next get together. Octopus and chickpeas offer a delicious protein within salad, and all the fresh ingredients add beautiful colour.

Serving: 4


1 can chickpeas, drained

1/4 cup red onion

2 cups cherry tomatoes, sliced

1/2 cup fresh basil

3/4 cup red bell pepper, diced


1/4 cup olive oil

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: Feta cheese


  1. Thaw the octopus per instructions on the bag. Once thawed, pat dry. Dice into 1/2 pieces.

  2. Place the octopus, chickpeas, red onion, cherry tomatoes, red bell pepper and basil in a bowl and gently toss to combine.

  3. Add dressing mix to the bowl. Mix well so everything is coated. Add salt and pepper to taste and mix well again. Serve immediately.
